Roundup of 2025

After a hot summer we expected a huge harvest, and indeed it was a good size, but slightly reduced by our perennial enemy, mildew in the Pinot grapes. Nevertheless, we picked for three days with a mass of willing helpers, just one group of which is pictured above. We are so grateful to the many people who are willing to give up time to help. And this year a new generation of the Stonyfield family (Christopher aged 11 months), came to ‘assist’…

Once again this year our Stonyfield white sparkling (this time from the 2019 harvest) won the WineGB award for the best sparkling wine in its class. There must be something about our site with its stony ground which produces great tasting grapes and, of course, we have a wonderful winemaker in Halfpenny Green.
