Harvest 2021

It was touch and go whether we would have a harvest at all this year with the combination of a late frost and a cold and cloudy August. But it all came together in late October and, with the help of friends and family, we managed to get the grapes in.

And it turned out we were just in time. The following week the Northamptonshire Tornado blew through. We lost the top of the ash tree at the bottom of the vineyard, and about 20 of our vines. But all told, we felt we got away pretty lightly!

Every year seems to bring new challenges. But also new rewards. We have just received our 2018 wines - both rose and white, and we are delighted at how good they are both tasting! So, onwards and upwards!
